Jharkhand to Hold Voter Enrollment Camps at Every Polling Station
Jharkhand will hold voter-help camps on October 10 at every polling station.
The camps are part of a voter-list checking exercise called SIR-2026.
They are meant to help eligible people get their names onto the voter list or fix incorrect details.
This includes eligible young adults and people who have moved from their usual homes.
Officials were asked to reach out to groups who may need extra help.
The camps are for eligible voters, not people whose names were deleted from the list.
By October 3, officials had digitised millions of applications to add or correct names.
The final voter list is expected on October 19.
The Election Commission will hold camps at every polling station in Jharkhand on October 10.
The camps will help eligible voters, including young adults and migrant voters, complete enrollment and correction processes.
Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said outreach should include tribal groups, backward classes, people with disabilities, elderly voters and destitute women.
About 7.36 lakh Form-6 applications and 4.87 lakh Form-8 applications had been digitised by October 3.
Jharkhand's draft rolls, published August 5, list 2.21 crore voters after 43.61 lakh names were deleted; final rolls are due October 19.

“Lack of information should not be a reason for depriving any eligible Indian citizen from being included in the voter list. I directed all officials concerned to ensure during the entire process that no eligible Indian citizen is left out of the voter list, and no ineligible or foreign person is included.”
