Revenue Employee Arrested in Alleged ₹8 Crore Job Fraud
A government employee has been accused of tricking people who wanted jobs.
Police say he took nearly Rs 8 crore from 54 unemployed people.
He allegedly promised them jobs at two facilities in the district.
The accused was identified as Korl Kalyan.
Police say he used the money for online cricket betting.
A complaint was filed at a police station in Bhadrachalam.
Police later arrested him on September 6.
He was sent to judicial custody.
Police are also investigating other cases against him.
A senior assistant in the Revenue Department was arrested and remanded over an alleged job fraud.
Police said Korl Kalyan collected nearly Rs 8 crore from 54 unemployed people.
He allegedly promised jobs at BTPS Manuguru and ITC’s Sarapaka facility.
Police said Kalyan lost the collected money through online cricket betting.
The case began after a complaint at Bhadrachalam Town Police Station, and further cases remain under investigation.
