Police say he took nearly Rs 8 crore from 54 unemployed people.

He allegedly promised them jobs at two facilities in the district.

The accused was identified as Korl Kalyan.

Police say he used the money for online cricket betting.

A complaint was filed at a police station in Bhadrachalam.

Police later arrested him on September 6.

He was sent to judicial custody.

Police are also investigating other cases against him.
