The Indian government has a special program to help farmers build things like big storage houses and cold rooms for their crops.

It is called the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, or AIF.

Under this program, farmers can borrow up to ₹2 crore from a bank.

They do not need to give any property as a guarantee for the loan.

The government also pays part of the interest, so farmers pay 3% less interest each year.

This help can last for up to seven years.

The money can be used for warehouses, cold storages, pack houses and other farming facilities.

Individual farmers, farmer companies, cooperatives and startups can all apply.

Farmers can apply online through the ministry's AIF portal.

The goal is to help farmers store and sell their crops better and earn more money.
