The convoy travelled on National Highway 2 through Kangpokpi and Senapati.

A Manipur government official

An official discussing the affordability and importance of the resumed bus service

“The Imphal-Guwahati same-day flight booking fare could be anywhere between ₹6,000 and ₹9,000. Not many can afford it, given the toll the conflict has inflicted on the economy. The bus fare, on the other hand, is around ₹1,500 per person. It will be a huge relief.”
