Padayatra Ban in Nallamala Forests for Tiger Census
The forest department has stopped people from walking through the Nallamala forests until February 8.
This is because they are counting tigers in the area.
Many people usually walk to the Srisailam Temple, especially around Mahashivarthri, but they are asked to use a different path during this time.
The forest department wants to make sure the tigers are not disturbed so they can count them properly.
The counting started on January 3 and will use cameras to track the tigers.
After February 8, people can walk through the forest again.

Devotees are advised to use the alternative route through Dornala to reach Srisailam.
