Master Plan Proposed for Sustainable Mallur Temple Development
A minister visited the Mallur temple and prayed there.
She asked officials to create a detailed plan for improving the temple.
The plan must protect the forests, old trees and natural water sources around it.
Officials were told to improve water, toilets, resting places and parking.
They were also asked to improve roads and places for visitors to stay.
A new Kalyana Mandapam is among the proposed facilities.
The temple hall should be expanded before the Godavari Pushkaralu.
The minister and the district collector also began work for a new cowshed with a bhoomi puja.
State minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka directed officials to prepare a comprehensive master plan for the Sri Hemachala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Mallur.
The plan is intended to preserve the temple’s dense forests, old trees, natural water sources and surrounding ecosystem.
Officials were asked to prioritise drinking water, sanitation, resting areas, parking, roads, accommodation and a Kalyana Mandapam.
Seethakka directed officials to expand the temple mandapam before the Godavari Pushkaralu because of the expected devotee rush.
