Andhra Pradesh's largest private dialysis center opens in Nellore
A hospital in Nellore, India, opened a very big center for people who need kidney dialysis.
Dialysis is a treatment that helps clean the blood when a person's kidneys are not working well.
This new center is the largest one in private hospitals across the state of Andhra Pradesh.
It was opened on a Friday with a special ceremony.
Some important doctors and leaders of the hospital cut the ribbon and welcomed the new center.
The doctors said that their hospital has already done 125 kidney transplant surgeries.
That is a different kind of operation where a sick person gets a new kidney from a donor.
The hospital has been working in Nellore for eight and a half years.
Other doctors who specialize in kidneys, urine, and anesthesia came to the event too.
The new center will help many more people in the area get the care they need.
The largest kidney dialysis center in Andhra Pradesh's private hospital sector was inaugurated at Nellore Apollo Specialty Hospital on Friday.
The new unit was launched by Dr AK Chakravarthy, Head of Nephrology; Dr Sriram Satish, Director of Medical Services; and Visweswar Reddy, Unit Head.
Apollo Hospital has successfully performed 125 kidney transplant surgeries since it began operations in Nellore eight and a half years ago.
Nephrologists Dr Mastan Vali and Dr Rakesh attended the inauguration event.
Urologists Dr Nischal Prasad Reddy and Dr Ranganathan, along with Head of Anesthesia Dr Rajamohan Reddy, also participated.
