Mahindra Launches Veero CNG Pickup Amid Rising Logistics Demand
Mahindra has introduced a new small truck that runs on CNG.
It is called the Veero 1.1 XXL CNG.
The truck can carry up to 1.1 tonnes of goods.
Its cargo area is about 9.5 feet long, and it can travel around 425 kilometers in real-world conditions.
It is designed for city deliveries, such as groceries, medicines, packages and online orders.
Customers can start receiving the vehicles on September 20.
Mahindra believes delivery networks and online shopping will increase demand for such trucks.
The company also expects some owners to replace older vehicles with newer, safer and more efficient ones.
Mahindra said the Veero platform can also support diesel and electric versions.
Mahindra has launched the Veero 1.1 XXL CNG pickup at a starting price of ₹8.25 lakh.
The vehicle carries 1.1 tonnes, has a 9.5-foot cargo deck and offers a real-world range of about 425 km.
Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on September 20.
The pickup targets intra-city uses including e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceutical and parcel deliveries.
