Vijayasai Reddy spoke to reporters in Anantapur about Rayalaseema’s future.

He said the region has not developed enough despite two chief ministers coming from there.

He criticized the government and two prominent families for what he described as a lack of commitment to the region.

He said Anantapur faces low rainfall and high migration.

Reddy argued that Rayalaseema could store more water if new projects were built.

He said the whole state can store 1,200 TMC of water.

He estimated that Rayalaseema could store at least 100 TMC with proper projects.

He promised to finish pending projects if his party forms the government.

He also supported a special development package similar to one for Bundelkhand.
