TDP Accuses Jagan of Politicising Rayalaseema’s Severe Drought
TDP leader Kalava Srinivasulu accused YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party of using Rayalaseema’s drought for political reasons.
He said the earlier YSRCP government did not spend enough on irrigation projects in the region.
Srinivasulu said the coalition government has spent more than Rs 13,500 crore there in the past two years.
He also said the current Budget provides Rs 10,014 crore more for these projects.
He compared this with Rs 12,441 crore spent by the TDP government between 2014 and 2019.
According to him, the Jagan government spent only about Rs 2,000 crore on Rayalaseema irrigation.
These figures were presented by Srinivasulu at a TDP media conference.
The report does not include a response from Jagan or the YSRCP.
