Audit Reveals Poor Condition of Bengaluru Public Toilets

A recent audit of public toilets in Bengaluru found that more than one in four toilets are not working, and very few are clean.

The audit, done by B.PAC, checked 142 toilets and found that many lack basic facilities like water, soap, and proper lighting.

Only a few toilets have ramps for people with disabilities.

The report says Bengaluru needs more than 1,000 new toilets and better maintenance of existing ones.

B.PAC has suggested a 30-day repair drive and creating a special team to manage the toilets better.
