Temple Lodges Complaint Over Instagram Reel in Durga Temple
A temple in Vijayawada said a woman filmed a dance video inside their building and posted it on Instagram.
The video was shown on TV and made many people upset.
The temple said the video broke their rules and hurt people's feelings.

Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam filed a police complaint against an unidentified woman for filming an Instagram reel inside the temple.
The video, recorded on July 30 between 1:45 and 1:47 pm, shows the woman dancing near the Rajagopuram on the seventh‑floor Mahamandapam.
Temple officials claim the reel violated temple traditions and Endowments Department norms, hurting devotees’ religious sentiments and compromising sanctity.
The complaint was submitted to One Town Police Station under the NTR Police Commissionerate, requesting identification and prosecution of the woman.
Temple management vows to preserve the shrine’s sanctity and will take legal action against anyone who desecrates it.
