AIIMS Mangalagiri opens Burns & Plastic Surgery Block
A hospital in Mangalagiri called AIIMS got a brand new building to help people with bad burns and plastic surgery.
On Thursday, the head doctor and other leaders opened this new building.
The hospital is now very big, with 970 beds for patients.
It has 43 different departments that treat many kinds of health problems.
Every day, about 4,500 people come to visit the hospital.
On weekdays, even more people come, more than 5,000!
Last year, the hospital helped more than 10 lakh patients in its clinics.
It also took care of 30,000 patients who stayed overnight.
The hospital is adding more ICU beds and has doubled its emergency room beds.
It is also getting new machines like a special CT scanner to look inside the body.
AIIMS Mangalagiri inaugurated a dedicated Burns & Plastic Surgery Block on Thursday.
The institute announced it is now a fully functional 970-bedded tertiary care hospital with 43 clinical and non-clinical departments.
The hospital records nearly 4,500 outpatient visits daily, crossing 5,000 on weekdays.
During 2025-26, it provided over 10 lakh outpatient consultations and 30,000 inpatient admissions.
ICU capacity increased to 118 operational beds and emergency beds doubled from 30 to 60, including 10 Emergency ICU beds.
