Srihari Pushes January Launch for Gandi Ramaram Irrigation Lift-1

The Gandi Ramaram project is being built to carry water to farms in higher areas.

MLA Kadiyam Srihari visited the project site to check its progress.

He said about 70% of the first lift’s work is finished.

He wants the remaining work completed within two months.

Pump-house work should be finished within one month.

The pipelines are expected to be completed in November.

Officials plan to test the system in December.

Srihari wants Lift-1 operating in January so farmers can get water for a second crop.

The whole project costs Rs104 crore and has three lifts.

He also asked officials to find ways to provide water to villages not yet covered.
