Nikita Rathod Bedre Brings Back Family's Iconic Mawa Cakes

Nikita Rathod Bedre grew up eating special cakes called mawa cakes.

Her grandmother made them and her grandfather sold them from a shop called Manohar Bakery.

Many people loved the cakes and remembered them for years.

Sadly, the bakery closed because of disagreements in the family.

Nikita was sad, so she promised herself she would bring the cakes back one day.

She worked in advertising, and baking was not her job at first.

During the Covid lockdown, she and her husband started baking and trying many different recipes at home.

It took them almost five years to get the taste just right.

Finally, while Nikita was pregnant, her husband found the perfect recipe.

They started a new company called The Mawa Cake Co., so people can enjoy the cakes again.
