Officials Order Legacy Waste Removal in Penamaluru Dump Yard
Officials found old waste piled up at a dump yard in Tadigadapa.
Kommareddy Pattabhiram visited the site on Monday.
He told workers to remove the old waste quickly.
The Municipal Commissioner and a waste-management agency will handle the cleanup.
Officials were also given instructions to speed up the work.
After the old waste is removed, new waste will be taken somewhere else.
That location is in Jawahar Auto Nagar in Vijayawada.
Municipal officials must coordinate with the Auto Nagar Industrial Local Authority about the waste transport.
Swachh Andhra Corporation chairman Kommareddy Pattabhiram inspected the Tadigadapa dump yard on Monday.
He ordered officials to immediately clear accumulated legacy waste from the site.
Municipal Commissioner Shaik Nazir and the concerned agency were told to prioritize the cleanup.
Pattabhiram directed officials to expedite waste removal and follow necessary site-management measures.
After the cleanup, new municipal waste is to be transported to an AILA-designated site at Jawahar Auto Nagar in Vijayawada.
