Agency faces ire over delay in Gudivada waste clearance

Old waste has piled up at a dumping yard in Gudivada.

An agency was supposed to remove this waste but has not done so on time.

Because the old waste remains, there is less room for new waste.

This is making daily waste collection and disposal harder for the municipality.

Swachha Andhra Corporation Chairman Kommareddy Pattabhiram visited the municipal office.

He spoke with the municipal commissioner and other officials.

Pattabhiram said he was unhappy with the agency’s delay.

Officials said the agency’s delay caused the waste-management problem.
