Interstate dacoity gang busted; four arrested in Odisha
Some people in India formed a group that steals money from others.
This kind of group is called a dacoity gang.
The police in Odisha caught four members of this gang.
Three of them came from a nearby state called Andhra Pradesh.
The police found money and other things the gang had stolen.
The gang had taken a big bag of money from a person on August 10.
The thief pretended to be someone buying land to trick the person.
The gang also used a loud siren to confuse people.
Two more members of the gang are still being searched for by the police.
The police are working hard to catch them too.
Odisha Police arrested four members of an interstate dacoity gang, including three from Andhra Pradesh.
Police seized Rs 6.92 lakh in cash, a car, 14 mobile phones, a WiFi device, and eight fake gold pieces.
The gang allegedly robbed Rs 35 lakh from a person in Hanspur near Chhatrapur in Ganjam district on August 10.
Two gang members, including the main accused, remain absconding and a search is underway.
The gang is linked to dacoity incidents in Brahmapur, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam and used a siren and changed number plates to avoid detection.
