Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants families to remain together when they receive government benefits.

He said some joint families might be splitting into smaller groups to get extra ration cards or pensions.

Officials must map each family before approving new pensions.

People already receiving benefits should not lose them.

Naidu said every family member should be eligible for five kilograms of ration rice.

He also wants welfare programmes to help families become more financially independent.

A programme called One Family–One Entrepreneur aims to help five lakh women become entrepreneurs.

Collectors were told to improve education in hostels and make the P4 programme a people’s movement.

Officials must also follow fixed schedules for welfare services, land records, sanitation and digital health records.
