Naidu Puts Poor Families’ Empowerment At Coalition Government’s Center
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said his government wants to help poor families become financially stronger.
He said the government is working on welfare programmes, development projects and better governance at the same time.
It has provided pensions to older people, widows and people with disabilities.
The government also gives some families three free cooking-gas cylinders each year.
Naidu said many women in DWCRA groups have started small businesses.
He said water projects will bring water to dry areas.

Naidu highlighted water-diversion projects, lower-cost electricity and Rs 1.50-per-unit power for aqua farmers.
An aquaculture university, a dump yard and Delta modernisation works were announced for the Narsapuram region.
