Industry’s active role in PM-SETU bridges gap between training and jobs: Jayant Chaudhary · theprint.in

PM-SETU is a program to improve government job-training institutes called ITIs.

The government wants companies to help design training and update equipment.

This is meant to help students learn skills that employers actually need.

Companies may also offer apprenticeships and help train instructors.

The program will upgrade 1,000 government ITIs.

Uttar Pradesh has eight clusters taking part in the program.

Industry proposals worth more than Rs 1,500 crore have been approved across seven clusters in five states.

The discussions covered fields such as aerospace, electronics, renewable energy, automobiles and digital technology.
