Andhra Pradesh Wins Award for Renewable Energy Investment Drive
Andhra Pradesh received an award for attracting investment in clean energy.
Since June 2024, it has approved 97 clean-energy projects worth nearly Rs 4 lakh crore.
These projects could create 4.71 lakh jobs.
They include ways to make electricity from the sun and wind.
Other projects will store energy and produce hydrogen and biogas.
The award was presented at Windergy India 2026 in Chennai.
The conference took place from October 7 to 9.
M Kamalakar Babu accepted the award for the state government.
Andhra Pradesh received the Leadership State in Renewable Energy Investment Mobilisation Award at Windergy India 2026.
Since June 2024, the state has sanctioned 97 clean-energy projects worth nearly Rs 4 lakh crore.

Approved projects include solar, wind, pumped-storage hydro, batteries, green hydrogen, electrolyser manufacturing and compressed biogas.
