Delhi Assembly to repeal Bed and Breakfast law after fire

There was a very sad fire at a small guesthouse in a part of Delhi called Malviya Nagar, and 21 people lost their lives.

Because of this, the Delhi government wants to cancel the old rule that let these guesthouses, called Bed and Breakfasts, get registered.

The government will vote on removing this rule during a special meeting called the Monsoon Session.

This meeting will happen from August 7 to August 11.

A leader named Kapil Mishra, who takes care of tourism in Delhi, said the old rule from 2007 and its later changes from 2010 and 2021 will be taken away.

The government also wants to pass a new law that makes sure people get government services on time.

The opposition party, called AAP, wants to ask questions about other problems too, like a medical equipment issue.

The person in charge of the meeting, Vijender Gupta, said everything is ready for the session.

This means the leaders will talk about many important things during this meeting.
