Bhopal Operation Seizes 14,200 Litres Of Illicit Mahua Liquor

Police and excise officials carried out a raid near Bhopal early Tuesday morning.

They found a large amount of illegally made mahua liquor.

In total, 14,200 litres of liquor were seized or destroyed.

Officials also found 12 underground furnaces used to make the liquor.

They destroyed the furnaces and took away two boilers.

The people suspected of making the liquor ran away before officials arrived.

Police said the sellers work in an organised way and use lookouts.

The liquor is reportedly sold nearby in small pouches costing Rs 20 to 40.
