XAT 2027 Registration, Exam Pattern and Preparation Guidance
XAT is an entrance test for students who want to study management.
It is conducted by XLRI and accepted by more than 250 business schools in India.
Students with a bachelor’s degree, or those in their final year, can apply.
Registration is open from 15 July to 6 December 2026.
The exam is planned for 3 January 2027.
It checks verbal skills, reasoning, mathematics, data interpretation and decision-making.
A separate General Knowledge section has 20 questions and does not affect the overall percentile or cutoff.
Students can use official monthly mock tests to practise and improve their time management.
XAT 2027 registration opened on 15 July 2026 and is scheduled to close on 6 December 2026.
The examination is scheduled for 3 January 2027 and is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI.
Applicants need a recognized bachelor’s degree of at least three years or must be in their final undergraduate year.
The test has three Part 1 sections and a separate General Knowledge section, with approximately 95 questions over three hours.
Official monthly mock tests are intended to familiarize candidates with the interface, timing, pattern and section flow.
