Assam Cop Killed In Hit-and-Run During Naka Checking; 6 Arrested

Suddenly, a car hit him and the driver ran away.
Sadly, the officer was hurt so badly that he passed away.
Police found the car, which had the number AS-02-AJ-4335.
The people inside the car had run away, so police searched everywhere to find them.
They arrested six people who they think are connected to what happened.

Two more people are still hiding, and police are looking for them.

The vehicle bearing registration AS-02-AJ-4335 was recovered from the Laisong area, while the driver and other occupants had fled the spot.
Police arrested four persons from separate locations in and around Laisong and two more from Juria, Nagaon district; two others linked to the incident are still absconding.
Investigators are probing a possible link between the vehicle and a drug-trafficking case, with the vehicle reportedly owned by Abdul Quddus of Juria in Nagaon district.
Dima Hasao Police paid its final tribute to SI Nabajit Das, who died while performing official duty, with SSP Ripunjoy Kakoti and other officials attending the ceremony.
