Tanzid Hasan scores Bangladesh's first Test century in Australia

Bangladesh and Australia are playing a two-match cricket series, starting with a special five-day match called a Test in Darwin, Australia.

In cricket, scoring 100 runs in one turn at batting is called a century, and it is very hard to do.

A 25-year-old Bangladeshi opener named Tanzid Hasan Tamim scored 101 runs, becoming the first player from his country to score a Test century in Australia.

No Bangladeshi batter had ever done that before, so it was a historic moment.

Tanzid hit the ball eight times for four runs and once for six runs, which helped his team a lot.

The day before, his teammate Hasan Mahmud had bowled brilliantly, taking six Australian wickets.

Because of that, Australia could only score 198 runs, which is quite low.

Bangladesh then scored more runs than Australia, taking the lead in the match.

Another teammate, Taskin Ahmed, reached a personal milestone of 300 international wickets.

Tanzid's century gave Bangladesh a strong chance to win the match, which would be a huge achievement for the team.
