Collector Orders Faster Completion of Mailaram Residential School
A new residential school is being built in Mailaram village.
District Collector Rahul Sharma visited the construction site on Saturday.
He asked workers and officials to finish the school on time.
The school will have classrooms, dormitories, kitchens, dining halls and offices.
It is planned to accommodate 2,640 students and 300 staff members.
Sharma said the builders must work quickly but still maintain good quality.
He suggested a special construction method called shear-wall technology for concrete walls.
He also asked officials to provide enough water through two large tanks.
District Collector Rahul Sharma directed officials to complete the Young India Model Residential School at Mailaram within the stipulated timeframe.
Sharma inspected the construction site with engineering officials and reviewed progress on academic, residential, kitchen, dining and administrative buildings.
Construction currently includes footing-level and base concrete works, with four academic blocks and senior and junior dormitories planned.
The Collector said construction speed must not compromise quality and suggested shear-wall technology for concrete walls.
The school is planned for 2,640 students and 300 staff, with a 600,000-litre underground tank and a 200,000-litre overhead tank.
