Ongole Accelerates Civic Development Projects for 150th Anniversary
Ongole is celebrating 150 years as a municipality.
To mark the occasion, officials are speeding up projects to improve the city.
They plan to install statues near the KIMS Hospital flyover.
A special pylon will be built at PVR Boys High School.
Gandhi Park is also expected to get an open-air theatre.
Development work worth Rs.
14 crore is planned at Ongole Government Hospital.
Officials also want to modernise the PDCC Bank and give bicycles to government-school students.
Nara Lokesh may attend the ceremonies on August 28 if he is available.
Ongole Municipality’s 150th anniversary has prompted officials to accelerate development and beautification works.
Officials reviewed plans for bullock-pair statues, a special pylon, an open-air theatre and hospital improvements.
The Ongole Government Hospital projects are valued at Rs. 14 crore.
Modernisation works at the PDCC Bank and bicycle distribution for government-school students are also planned.
Nara Lokesh may inaugurate or launch the projects on August 28, depending on his availability.
