World Bank Impressed by PAL Program in AP Schools
A team from the World Bank visited a school in Andhra Pradesh to see how well a special learning program called PAL is working.
PAL uses tablets to help students learn better.
The students and teachers showed the team how they use the tablets and how much the students have improved.
The team was very happy with what they saw.
The students did better in their tests, and the school has all its students using the program.
The program is being used in many schools across the state and has helped a lot of students.
The government wants to expand this program to more schools in the future.
World Bank team visited Zilla Parishad High School in East Godavari district to assess the PAL program.
The school has 100% student participation in the PAL program, with each student spending an average of 10.79 hours on the platform.
Students showed significant improvement in assessment scores, with a 13.35% increase from baseline to end-line evaluation.
AP is the first state to implement the PAL program on a large scale, covering 1,502 schools and benefiting nearly 3.8 lakh students.
An independent study found that students in PAL-enabled classrooms progressed 2.25 times faster than those in conventional classrooms.
