India Post Announces 25,000+ GDS Vacancies for 2026
India Post is hiring more than 25,000 people for village postal jobs.
The jobs include Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak.
Registration starts on August 31, 2026.
Applications and fee payment start on September 2 and end on September 21.
Most applicants must be 18 to 40 years old and have passed Class 10.
They also need Mathematics, English, the required local language, computer knowledge and cycling skills.
There will be no written test.
Instead, candidates will mainly be chosen using their Class 10 marks.
Shortlisted applicants must show original documents before receiving a provisional engagement offer.
India Post has announced more than 25,000 vacancies for BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevak posts across postal circles and divisions.
One-time registration runs from August 31 to September 19, 2026, while applications and fee payment run from September 2 to September 21.
Applicants generally must be 18–40 years old, have passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English, and know the prescribed local language.
Selection will be based on a system-generated Class 10 merit list, with no written examination, followed by document verification and pre-engagement formalities.
BPMs will receive ₹12,000–₹29,380, while ABPMs and Dak Sevaks will receive ₹10,000–₹24,470 under the TRCA system.
