India Post Announces 23,757 GDS Vacancies for 2026
India Post is hiring people for 23,757 village post office jobs.
These jobs include Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak roles.
The notification was released on August 27, 2026.
Applicants can register from August 31 and submit applications from September 2.
They must apply by September 21, unless they are using the correction window on September 23 or 24.
Applicants need to have passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English.
They also need local-language knowledge, basic computer skills and cycling skills.
Selection will be based on Class 10 marks instead of a written test.
Shortlisted candidates must complete document checks, a medical examination and other formalities.
