India celebrates Independence Day on August 15, and this year the state of Uttar Pradesh is doing something special to mark it.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government will create special gardens called 'Vande Mataram Vatikas' in all 75 districts of the state.

In each garden, people will plant 150 baby trees, called saplings.

This is because the famous Indian song 'Vande Mataram' is celebrating its 150th birthday this year.

The tree planting is part of a big campaign named 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', which means 'A Tree in Mother's Name'.

The gardens will have shady and fruit-bearing trees that are good for the local environment.

Local people will be put in charge of looking after the young trees so they grow into a lasting green treasure.

Students, social groups, and forest officers will all take part in planting the trees.

The saplings will send a message of patriotism, caring for nature, and working together as a community.
