Adani Hospital Foundation Laid as Bengal Seeks Major Investment
West Bengal has begun building a very large hospital in New Town.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari laid the foundation stone for the 2,000-bed Adani Arogya Mandir in New Town.
The hospital will be built on 51.75 acres, with 1,000 beds reserved for economically disadvantaged patients free of charge.
Adhikari said the hospital would anchor a healthcare city and create supporting infrastructure in New Town.
He urged the Adani Group to increase investments in West Bengal, including in ports, logistics, power and data centres.
