The Adani Group may start three big projects in West Bengal on September 24.

The projects include repairing Writers’ Buildings and improving a stretch of riverfront near Kumartuli Ghat.

The group also plans a hospital with 2,000 beds in New Town.

About half of the hospital beds would be for poorer patients.

The other half would be used commercially.

The ghat project would restore old buildings and improve paths, lighting, toilets and river access.

The Writers’ Buildings restoration could cost about ₹100 crore.

The state government hopes these projects will encourage more investment in Bengal.
