Man Posing as Eunuch Arrested After Alleged Powai Sexual Assault
Police say a man named Anil Shinde dressed in women’s clothes and claimed to be a eunuch.
He allegedly went to a woman’s home in Powai, Mumbai.
He said he could perform a ritual to bless her with a child.
The woman and her husband had been married for four to five years and did not have children.
The woman’s husband was at work when Shinde arrived.
An elderly relative opened the door.
Police allege that Shinde sexually assaulted the woman and took Rs 2,000 before leaving.
Police later traced the autorickshaw he used and arrested him in Kalwa that night.
