Fake Currency Bundle Gang Targets Women Across Bhopal

A group of thieves is reportedly tricking women in Bhopal.

They first ask for directions to start a conversation.

Then they show bundles that appear to contain money.

They persuade women to put their jewellery into the bundles or exchange it for them.

The thieves take the jewellery and leave paper inside the bundles.

Several women have reported losing necklaces, earrings, anklets or mangalsutras.

Police say nearly a dozen similar incidents have happened in recent months.

Officers are studying camera footage to identify and arrest the suspects.
