Four women wore burqas, and two men were also part of the group.

They distracted workers and secretly took a box containing gold jewellery.

The stolen jewellery weighed about 1.5 kilograms and was worth at least Rs 2 crore.

Police are studying security-camera footage to identify the suspects.

In a separate case in Gujarat, two men entered another jewellery shop to steal from it.

Local people closed the shop’s shutter, trapping the men inside.

The men called the police, who rescued and arrested them and found jewellery and burglary tools.
