Yogi Cabinet Approves ₹265 Crore Lucknow Bus Terminal
Uttar Pradesh’s Cabinet approved a plan to build a new bus terminal in Lucknow.
It will be in Vrindavan Yojana and will cost about ₹265 crore, not counting the land.
The terminal is meant to serve electric buses, including buses planned for the city.
It will have charging areas, bus parking and repair facilities.
Passengers will be able to use waiting lounges, ticket counters and luggage storage.
Shops, restaurants, medical stores and other services are also planned.
A private developer will build the project and operate and manage the terminal.
The developer must maintain the terminal for 35 years and the commercial facilities for 90 years.
Uttar Pradesh’s Cabinet approved a ₹265 crore integrated bus terminal and commercial development in Vrindavan Yojana, Lucknow.
The project will be developed on about 7.06 acres at P-4 parking under a public-private partnership using the DBFOT model.
The terminal is intended to support electric bus operations; 116 buses currently operate from Dubagga depot, and plans are underway for 300 more.
The terminal’s estimated cost is ₹60 crore, while commercial facilities are estimated at ₹205 crore; land costs are excluded.
The developer will transfer the completed terminal to the Directorate of Urban Transport at no cost and maintain the terminal for 35 years and commercial infrastructure for 90 years.
