Modi Government to Release Special Coin Featuring Gayatri Mantra for Arya Samaj Anniversary
The Indian government is releasing a special coin to celebrate 150 years of the Arya Samaj.
This new Rs 150 coin will have the Gayatri Mantra written on it in an Indian script called Devanagari.
It's like a special metal picture to remember this important anniversary.
The coin will also show the Arya Samaj's logo and celebrate its 150 years.
This is similar to when a special coin was made for the 100th anniversary of the RSS, which showed a picture of 'Bharat Mata'.
The Arya Samaj was started a long time ago in 1875.
The coin will have the national emblem on one side and the Arya Samaj details on the other.
The Indian government will release a special Rs 150 coin to mark the 150th anniversary of the Arya Samaj.
The coin is expected to feature the Gayatri Mantra inscribed in the Devanagari script for the first time on Indian currency.
The reverse side of the coin will display the Arya Samaj 150-year logo and related inscriptions in Hindi and English.
The obverse side will feature the Lion Capitol of the Ashoka Pillar, 'Satyamev Jayate', and 'Bharat'/'INDIA'.
This follows a recent practice of issuing commemorative coins, including one for the 100 years of the RSS which featured 'Bharat Mata'.
