Anantapur student wins yoga competition, advances to state championship
There is a girl named B Varunavi who is really good at yoga.
She is in the sixth class at school.
On Thursday, she took part in a big sports competition in Anantapur.
She came first in two kinds of yoga: traditional yoga and artistic yoga.
The competition was for children under 17 years old.
It was part of the Amaravati Championship district sports meet.
Now she gets to go to the State Championship in Tirupati, an even bigger event.
That event will happen from August 24 to 27.
She practices with her yoga teacher, Krishnaveni, and she had already won a state-level competition two months ago.
B Varunavi, a 6th class student from Chiyyedu village, won first place in both traditional and artistic Yoga categories at Under-17 competitions.
The competitions were held Thursday at the indoor stadium in Anantapur as part of the Amaravati Championship district sports meet.
She is set to participate in the State Championship in Tirupati, scheduled from August 24 to 27.
Varunavi studies at Rao's School and trains in yoga under the guidance of Krishnaveni, with sessions in both the morning and evening.
She had previously secured first place in a state-level championship two months ago.
