Experts: Robust data governance key to patient-centric healthcare

A group called AHPI, which represents hospitals and healthcare providers, held an online meeting about keeping this information safe.

They talked about a new law called the DPDP Act that protects people's digital personal data.

Experts at the meeting said protecting patient information is just as important as taking care of patients.

They said hospitals need good rules, trained staff, and clear plans to stop data leaks.

One leader said data privacy is no longer just a rule to follow, but an important part of honest and caring healthcare.

Another said the new law is a chance for hospitals to build trust with patients.
