Vice President Urges Colleges to Nurture Democratic, Nation-Building Citizens
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan visited Geetanagar College in Guwahati.
The college was celebrating 50 years of service.
He said colleges should teach students how to be responsible citizens, not just help them find jobs.
He encouraged young people to help build India’s future.
He said fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology and space research offer important opportunities.
He also asked students to stay away from drugs and make healthy choices.
He praised Assam’s growth, culture and natural resources.
He remembered Lachit Barphukan as an example of courage and patriotism.
