Delhi Inspects Key Routes Ahead of 2026 BRICS Summit
Delhi is getting ready to host the BRICS Summit in September 2026.
Officials will inspect an important road route between Bharat Mandapam and the international airport.
They will look for potholes, dirty areas, drainage problems and places that could flood.
They will also check footpaths, signs, lights and decorations connected with BRICS.
Several government departments and other agencies will work together.
The summit will take place on September 12 and 13.
Traffic may be diverted or stopped on some roads while foreign visitors travel.
People in parts of Delhi are being asked to allow extra time for their journeys.
The Delhi government will inspect the route from Bharat Mandapam to Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday.
Officials will examine roads, potholes, footpaths, drainage, waterlogging, cleanliness, signage and overall civic appearance.
NDMC, MCD, PWD, Delhi Police, DIAL and NHAI officials will participate in the inspection.
The two-day BRICS Summit is scheduled at Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13, 2026.
Traffic restrictions may affect at least 22 arterial roads from September 10 until around September 14, with nearly 4,800 traffic personnel deployed.
