Delhi is practicing how an important motorcade will travel before the BRICS Summit.

Because of this practice, some roads will be redirected or partly restricted.

The traffic plan covers 22 diversion points and more than 35 roads.

Important areas affected include Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, Moti Bagh and Lodhi Road.

Drivers going to the airport, railway stations or Gurugram may need to use alternate routes.

The Delhi Traffic Police advises people to leave early and follow officers’ instructions.

The Metro will continue operating at all stations.

Some buses and road-based feeder services may be diverted.

Reports differ about whether the rehearsal is on September 1 or September 2 and about its start time.
