MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV Challenges Toyota Hybrid Pricing
How MG’s Tomahawk PHEV undercuts Toyota’s hybrid pricing · financialexpress.com

MG has launched a large seven-seat car that can work like both an electric car and a petrol car.

It is called the Hector Tomahawk PHEV.

The car can travel more than 115 kilometres using electricity alone, according to MG’s claim.

It also has a petrol engine for longer trips.

Its normal price is lower than that of a similar Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid.

Buyers can also rent the battery instead of paying for it all at once.

This lowers the starting price to Rs 21.79 lakh, but adds a charge of Rs 3.2 for every kilometre driven.

MG says city drivers may save fuel by charging the car at home and using electric power.
