MG Launches Hector Tomahawk With Aggressive Electric Pricing
MG has launched a new SUV called the Hector Tomahawk.
It comes in an electric version and a plug-in hybrid version.
The electric model costs ₹19.49 lakh before the battery rental plan.
The hybrid model costs ₹25.69 lakh.
Customers can pay less upfront through Battery-as-a-Service, but then pay for each kilometre driven.
Bookings have started, with electric deliveries planned for September and hybrid deliveries for November.
MG says its factory cannot currently make enough vehicles for every price range.
Because of this, it is focusing on more expensive SUVs and will consider a ₹10–15 lakh vehicle later.
JSW MG Motor India launched the Hector Tomahawk in electric and plug-in hybrid versions.
The Tomahawk EV starts at ₹19.49 lakh, while the PHEV starts at ₹25.69 lakh.
Under Battery-as-a-Service, the EV starts at ₹13.99 lakh plus ₹4.90 per kilometre, and the PHEV at ₹21.79 lakh plus ₹3.20 per kilometre.
Bookings are open, with EV deliveries beginning in September and PHEV deliveries in November.
MG is prioritising higher-value SUVs while deferring a planned ₹10–15 lakh product until production capacity increases.
