MG takes aggressive pricing route with Hector Tomahawk · financialexpress.com

MG has launched a new SUV called the Hector Tomahawk.

It comes in an electric version and a plug-in hybrid version.

The electric model costs ₹19.49 lakh before the battery rental plan.

The hybrid model costs ₹25.69 lakh.

Customers can pay less upfront through Battery-as-a-Service, but then pay for each kilometre driven.

Bookings have started, with electric deliveries planned for September and hybrid deliveries for November.

MG says its factory cannot currently make enough vehicles for every price range.

Because of this, it is focusing on more expensive SUVs and will consider a ₹10–15 lakh vehicle later.

“At this price point, customers can step into a C-segment SUV at a price comparable to many B-segment ICE SUVs”
