Bhopal Prepares for Ganesh Visarjan with 180 Divers
Bhopal is getting ready for Ganesh Visarjan on September 25, 2026.
This is when devotees say goodbye to Lord Ganesha by immersing idols.
Many large processions will travel to designated ghats in the city.
The municipal corporation has prepared nearly 30 places where people can hand over idols.
The civic body will later immerse those idols together.
More than 180 divers will help keep people safe.
Cranes, machines, ropes, life jackets, and rescue equipment will also be available.
People will not be allowed to enter the water directly.
Police and trained workers will manage crowds, traffic, and the immersion process.
Bhopal will conduct major Ganesh idol immersions on Anant Chaturdashi, September 25, 2026.
Nearly 30 idol collection centres have been established across the city.
More than 180 divers, 12 cranes, and 12 Poclain machines will support immersion operations.
Five major ghats named in the security plan include Khatlapura, Prempura, Rani Kamlapati, Bairagarh, and Shahpura.
Devotees will not be allowed to enter the water, with trained personnel handling idol immersion.
