The monsoon season in Gujarat has brought a lot of rain.

By August 2, the state had gotten about 68% of all the rain it usually gets in a season.

Most of that rain fell in the southern part of Gujarat, which got 95% of the total.

A place called Kutch got much less, only 28%.

In one week, a second big rainstorm added 15% more rain to the state’s total.

A town called Wadhwan in Surendranagar was flooded with 157 millimetres of rain.

The rest of the state—North Gujarat, East Central, and Saurashtra—each got more than half of their usual rain.
