'Garvi Gurjari' showroom opens in Gandhinagar for traditional crafts

In a city called Gandhinagar in India, a brand-new store opened its doors.

The store is called 'Garvi Gurjari'.

It sells beautiful things made by hand, like colourful cloth, embroidery, clay pots and metal art.

These things are made by talented artists from different parts of Gujarat.

The artists make crafts the same way people did many years ago.

The government opened the store so more people can buy these handmade treasures.

When people buy them, the artists earn money and their old traditions stay alive.

The store also supports an idea from India's Prime Minister called 'Vocal for Local', which means being proud of things made in our own country.

The grown-ups hope the store will make young people excited about learning these crafts too.

They also think it can create new jobs for people who make handicrafts.
